Wayzata bay ice report

Wayzata bay ice report 1-13-16
Tested the ice across a wide area and found the ice to be 4 inches too 8 inches thick.
I did run in to a little slush in one spot also I did not go to kite island I stayed in the bay.
Even with the low wind I did get about 5 miles of skiing. Remember the ice is never safe ever!
Fished from 4 to 8 and no walleyes were found. Not sure what happen there.

It was me that said the ice is never SAFE today in the middle of Wayzata bay I broke threw the ice .
Remember the ice is never safe I was doing about 20 mph so I cleared the water and did not get very wet.
It did pull my ski off so I crashed and burned. Play safe and be ready when things go bad.
