Just kidding! It is not a bad place to kite but stay downwind of the race course and windsurfers. And to top it off, there actually looks like wind for the foreverest year in a row. Somebody up there must love Low Boom Larry.
If the water is at 839ft ASL or below, then the launch is really sweet to kite. Higher than that, it kind of crowds us close into the windsurfers. But that depends on where the meet is relocated to. The online water level data and forecast is not working as of this moment. Did I say "not a bad place to kite"? 3 months of trying to jibe on a directional kite board at my home lake and I only made it 9 times. 2 days and hung over at the Dam Jam, and I had that up past 100 where I stopped counting.
If you have too much fun the night before, and you find your self unable to windsurf, you can just kite like me.
Dam Jam Windsurfing meet - no kiting allowed!
