Cannon opener

Post by Bill S. »

Great to see everyone back on the water yesterday at Cannon for the season opener! Brian, Mike, Chris, Tim, Andy, Doug, Pete, Jeff H., Jeff C., Rob (the Professor) and Eric worked out the winter kinks with sunshine, 80 degrees, 35-45 mph southerlies, and 3.7-4.7m sails. With few exceptions, I first met this crew at Waconia when I moved to Minnesota in 1988. Twenty-seven years later we are still at it, the stoke as strong now as it was then.

Hey Bill, yes - that was a great Opener! It is amazing to see many of the same faces decade after decade! It makes you wonder why there aren't many young folks in the sport as it is so fun. To me, kiting in the winter and windsurfing on the water is the best! See you next time!
