Local boys 1st and 2nd in Maui Wave Gear Race

See attached. The last day of the Maui Race Series ran a special class for sailors on wave gear.

Ex Minnetonka\Waconia sailor Doug Boll and Ex Golden Valley\Calhoon sailor John Martinson took 1st and 2nd. John passed the last buoy and threw up his hands and got pitched. Doug, who was right behind, passed the buoy and turned to break the finish line -- the line between the buoy and the mark on the shore.

John says he broke the line but Doug got the first place T-shirt. Smiles all around...
