I was out to WBL on Ramsey beach this morning to check out the conditions. There is probably 30 ft of open water from shore to ice with what looks like more open water out by the rock piles. There is a larger section of open water to the left of the boat launch towards the alternate launch site. If fri and sat deliver the temps forecasted there might be a chance to kite Ramsey on Sunday if the wind is up...if not I'm headed to the croix or cannon.

Re: WBL CONDITIONS
Anyone been by White Bear today? Wind is looking pretty good!
Re: WBL CONDITIONS
I drove around it on Saturday. The bay in front of Rutherford was open, but the rest was still frozen a short distance from shore. Maybe today's wind & higher temps will break it up!

Re: WBL CONDITIONS
The bear is still ice covered today (Sunday @4pm).
Re: WBL CONDITIONS
MAYBE WE SHOULD START THE LIONS CLUB BIT, but instead of a car out on the ice, we could put something large & barge-like...a paddleboard?
Then take bets on when it will float....all proceeds going to the "WINDORPHANAGE," a home for depressed kiteboarders, where endorphins are freely dispensed.
