Crossing Times

Post by Tighe »

Another great event. Big Thanks go to Mike Turner and Mia, those who contributed snowmobiles, those who volunteered, those who made the journey from far away, those who brought the beer, those who brought the grills, those who brought the fire pit, those who brought chairs and an inflatable couch. Fun weekend.

These events would not happen if not for the generous support of the sponsors. Excelsior Brew definitely came through and treated us all to quite a few of their incredible brews. Slingshot (Neil and Laura) got the new gear into the hands of many riders. The Slingshot Tent, Excelsior's taps, and Lakawa's fire pit created a great spot for everyone to hang together. Lakawa had gear and swaps going though the weekend. Dynamik played an integral roll in the event as well as laying out a mean tack across the wind. Thanks guys!

Looking forward to seeing some of of the photos.

We did have a rider go down. She's fine and back at home. Thanks to whomever assisted getting her off the ice.

Unfortunately there were a few errors with the original post of results, and to make it worse one of them them was between the first and second place snowboard finishers. Both incredible runs, 2 seconds apart. The results above have been updated.

Awesome event everyone!! Perfect wind to get so many people out there!

Looks like there might be a error in the skiers times as well. Barry and Scott are swapped.

Friggin Riggin. I am for more proficient in CS6 than I am in Excel. Sorry everyone. I wanted to get the results out asap and tried to finish them up last night. I think people are sick of the updates on Facebook. But I will correct it here. So sorry to all those effected.

On a side note: there was one racer who ran the course but didn't register...it's a shame cause he would have gotten a second place.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL AN INSPIRATION! I'm only sad I wasn't there to witness it. But seriously, my Mom always warned me about fast women. Now I know what she was talking about. I'm sure she had Liz & Vicki in mind, but Kate & Katey? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :?
Mega Dittoes on Jenn's superb eye behind the lense. KUDOS!

Wow! Awesome race everyone! I knew it was going to be close, but that was really intense. Todd, Dan and I are within 16 seconds of each other in an hour-long race. Feels like any one of use could have taken it. It came down to minuscule mistakes.

Andy, Steve and Jess were also within very small time differences (11 seconds.) It always surprises me how close we get on such long courses with a steep upwind leg, which I thought would spread people out a bit.

Yes, that was a super rad race! Congrats to Denis, I knew it was going to be super tight. The whole weekend was a blast. I think kickball might have to be a new tradition. Also thanks to Excelsior brewery for keeping us all good an snockered on Saturday. I also really dug the salmon dinner cooked at midnight upon Mike Manger's wood fired oven Friday night. Here's to "Frozen Man" 2013! Next year I'm booking my band at the Goose.

Wow! crazy fun weekend. Thank you Mike Fox! and all the people that help make this the biggest event of the year, for all you do.
Great competitors and great friends, all of you. Lets blow the roof off this thing next year for the ten year anniversary. Who knows? maybe Brian Smith

Fun weekend! Great race! Yes! Kickball must be a new tradition! Sadly, i missed out on the game thanks to Excelsior Brewery  I'm crazy about the Frozen Man theme for next year. I wonder if we can get Mr. Fox to ride along with it :?:
