Spring Training in S. Padre.

Post by Tighe »

I'm heading to S. Padre tomorrow to ride. I also want to hook up with Shane from S Padre Kiteboarding and talk to him about doing some spring clinics. I'll investigate group rates on accomodations, lessons, etc. The flight is an easy one. I expect to be on the water by 1:00 tomorrow... oh yeah and by the way...it is forecast to be 15-25 all week with temps in the 70s.

Who would be interested in a 3-4 day clinic, beginner to advanced? Take it from snow to water in a user friendly environment. Waist deep, warm waters. Then come back and ride above the cold spring waters instead of in it. Maybe early April.

If interested shoot me an email. tighe at windancing dot com

I'll be online down there.

After learning on the snow last year Denis and I headed down to S. Padre to learn on the water. It is an absolutely great environment for learning and I would tell anyone that wants a great head start to go down. After only a day or two you will be up riding around and feeling like you never want to leave.

Just be warned: getting on the water furthers kite addiction...this can cause severe emotional turmoil during the summer when the wind is blowing, it is warm and you have to be in the office.
