I went out today for the first time with my new 10m. In short, winds were not strong enough. I had to really really work it to keep it in the air. Then the inevitable stall. Also, took several launch attempts with an assistant just to get it up. I did get a couple nice down winders though. Kinda nice when the limo picks you up on the other side of the lake.
2-Wheel Drive - Forrest Lake seems nice with 2 wheel drive. I was out in my ultra light mazda3 and my dad came with in his rear wheel drive Ranger. They have a really nice entrance and know heeves getting on the lake. There were lots of cars out today. So if you are afraid of getting stuck, I'd recommend this spot. Also, not a ton of fish houses either. Nice plowed road.
I'll upload a pic or two after my nap, maybe after lifetimes hot Tub.
Sure hope the wind picks up tomorrow or Monday. I want to play!

Nice to see someone new hooked on the sport! The winds are looking up for Tuesday so you could definitely get out that day if they hold up. I live in Blaine as well so we should try to hook up and ride WBL sometime in the near future. Give me a shout if you are interested.
Looks like we're starting to get a good group up here in the north part of the cities. Forest Lake is big and close enough with good steady winds on the right days. Hope to run into you guys sometime soon.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!
