I don't usually ride Calhoun but I'm supposed to meet my wife downtown tonight. Are there any spots (coffee shop or whatever) that has free wireless access so I can work until I get the itch and want to rig up?

How fast does the lot fill up?

Sorry for the confusion. I'm one of the few windsurfers who hasn't converted to kiting. I just can't justify owning more gear!

Go to Rustica. It's in Calhoun village, next to punch pizza. I reviewed on www.twincitynumnums.blogspot.com Best coffee bar and to die for pastries! Ohh and fast wireless... close to calhoun

Calhoun was not as good as other spots. I got out about 3 pm, and it was 15-30 with puffs/lulls all over the lake. I was able to plane consistently for about an hour or hour and a half (on a 6.2 and 151L board). Then some rain blew through and it was probably 10-20 with puffs coming through much less frequently. At least it was better than not getting out at all.
