Calhoun 12-22

Post by stevenP »

Lake Calhoun update went out today on 12meter kite and sKis. snow is pretty thin maybe an inch or less. Probably better with blades perhaps a free skate or ice board may be better. The ice boat is doing best in light winds.

I assume the ice is thick and ready all around the lake?

I went out again yesterday, Wed. 23rd and it was a short ride. The wind was so gusty my foil kite kept on collapsing in the violent swirly gusts.
As for the condition of the ice, I have no comment other than I saw an iceboat pretty much all over the lake on Tuesday. There have been a few icehouses and fishermen out also.
I'm hoping to get out today on my snowboard and play in the freshies....
Merry Christmas all.
