Cannon Lake?

How is Cannon Lake? I have never been there and want to stay somewhat local. Winds look ok Sat and then Better for Sun.

Has anyone been there lately and how is the water/weeds?

Well I went down there Sun morning to check it out since I didn't hear from anyone. Wind looked great but once I looked at the water I couldn't get myself to into it. Smelly and Green algae or whatever, it was thick.

I take it it's much better there in the spring. If you go, you can give your opinion as well.

I am spoiled from summers on northern Lake Michigan and don't go in Cannon till the first hard frost kills the algae bloom and a good hard rain flushes the system. Water quality and clarity will improve dramatically in the next few weeks.
