JUST TOURED THE S. SHORE LAUNCHES. Not sure if these clouds have stalled the wind, but the expected whitecaps were nil. Just wanted to warn people to watch out when parking @ Wildwood, my tire went flat after leaving there.
Looks like the trees are dancing again, maybe take a 2nd look. @ 3 it had filled in enough to ride between the lulls
as Geo & Dave Z. proved. Maybe SPI spoiled us, but I'm waiting for warmer temps & a steadier wind.

SAD WHEN U REPLY TO YOUR OWN POST, BUT...We finally got our nuking winds today. The windsurfers showed up in force, but the number of kiters grew as the afternoon went by. Every size kite from 14 (Max) down to 5 (Arthur) were ridden in some choppy, gusty, switchy conditions. The new CF lived up to its billing (Thanx Avery). Ramsey "No Swimming Allowed" Beach provided a great playground. Hell, even the long MIA Dave showed up, so you know it was blowing. When the Dakotas blow and Wisconsin sucks, its nice to be between!

Can't leave you alone, Jim. So here I go. Just came home before the rain poured down. Baxter and I had a great time after 5 PM session. The 5.3 m2 sail with an 82 liter board provided a pretty decent combination. Did not feel cold at all. Boy, the lake is way shallow. Since I started riding in 2005 at the D'Bear, haven't seen it this low. I could pretty much walk to the reefs from the middle ground.
All and all, it was a fun evening. Glad to report that I was the last one out of the water!
Until next time, cheers to all riders!

P.S. forgot to turn off the tap as I was sinking the wet suit, the tab flooded... dang it. Okay, time to eat something.
