Ottertail Lake this weekend

Post by markjohnson »

Anybody out there interested in kiting at Ottertail Lake this weekend? New snow on the lake and more on the way, plus a windy forecast. Stay at my place on the lake, or there are hotels nearby. call me @651-357-3800 or e-mail @ mjoh069@aol.com

I grew up on Blanche lake just south of Ottertail lake and get up there about once a month. Now I live in WBL and get out on WBL about twice a week. What side of the lake is your cabin on or what is it by. I may be up there is weekend with all my kite stuff and ready to go at any time.

Hey Nick - I also have a place on OT - great lake any time of the year. Mark is on the east side off of 78 just south of town, and I am on the north side on cnty rd 1 a couple of miles west of 78. Between the two of us, we pretty much have all wind directions covered. We both have decent launch areas as well. I was at the crossing last weekend, so I doubt I will get a pass for this weekend. Mark was on OT last weekend and it was holding four to six inches of powder. I don't think they got the rain, so it should still be good.

Nick, I may be going up to the Tail early on Friday the 7th,may have to return late afternoon on Saturday. Last weekend the conditions were perfect. I can't imagine that any other lake in the state is better right now for kiting. No ice spots, 4 to 5 inches of soft snow. Call me @ 651-357-3800 or 651-454-2104 or e-mail @ mjoh069@aol.com

Looks like some stuff came up this weekend but I will be up there next weekend or the one after that. I never make it up there as much as I used to, I hate it. Sounds like some of the best snow in the state up there though. I was up there about a month ago and then it was the best snow I've been on all season.
