Do I really need a Best bar
Hey ya'll, I have a question for the masses.
Is it really necessary to buy a Best bar for my 12 meter Waroo or can any ol bar be used?
Thanks,
Nick

Eric has it dialed.
Mark Ive wanted to try that bar on a inflatable also. I think it will work fine its def Not a bow kite bar,it has as much throw but no pulleys , and needs the back brake removed so you can use a outside line to kill your kite(if needed) just add a ring to the outside line and i think it will work sweet on a roo.

the reason I call it a bow kite bar is because of the long throw and the relese/depower system is the same as all the bow kite bars I have seen(gives the outside lines lots of slack). not all bowkites have pullies on the bar.. best doesn't. so no problem there
I would recomend using one of the center lines for the emergency flaging line... it will help to plant the kite on the ground.

most kites that dont have pulleys like Best kites are not bow kites there hybrid kites . the center lines on the ranger bar are way up there so you will need a extra long leash if you go to the center. either work killing your kite is the main goal, your not usaully planting the kite down if you need to pull your QR.
Thanks for the info guys. I will be up at the big event this weekend trying to get the Waroo to work with a 51cm Cabrinha Carbon Powerlock Control Bar. This came with a set of best kites so I can only assume that it has worked with them in the past.
Cheers,
Nick
