Monday or Tuesday, spare demo kite?

Post by Kosk »

Looks like it might blow a little on monday and tuesday the 31st/1st.

Is anyone with extra kites planning on being out riding somewhere? I've got a B5 that I've been riding on for a while now and find myself getting bogged down too much in deep or fresh snow and slush unless its ripping over 20mph. I'd like to try a more appropriate sized kite for light-to-mid-teen winds. Possibly inflatable too, to get an idea of what I might like to get for the upcoming summer season.

Plus it would be cool to meet some people.

I'm sure I'll be out at Swede or the Bear. I have Fuels, Links, and an 11 Rev.

I haven't got it dialed yet, but will probably ride my w-12 for now. I had the rear lines extra long, but now have them @ the stock length, and shortened the front lines a bit...haven't tried it since though. I'll bring it if we have time to look it over, but am jonesing for a ride. Can't wait!! 8) JN

pete,

I will probably be out at swede on tuesday for some riding. You can try out my Ranger 9m if you want. I'll bring my camera as well.

Thanks for all the offers. If people are going to be at Wac on Monday let me know what time, I'm off that day, although it doesn't look like the wind will pick up until later in the afternoon. Tuesday at Swede sounds good too Ben, although I don't think I'll be getting my jib on too hard yet.

Stroh, I've been riding mostly up north in some potato fields by my grandma's house (Park Rapids area). I've also been out to Medicine a couple times on a random afternoons I had off, but one of those was a bust because of light winds.

Peterrib & I just got done having goods rides today with large kites on Ripley. What a surprise :!:

I checked out Washington on way home and it has good snow cover and fisherman are driving their trucks out to the fish houses.

Good rides to everyone.
