I think my leash dilemma is over. My issue was I couldn’t attach or detach my leash when my crossbow was lit. Either I would put the leash on my flag line before launch and leave it there. But it will get in my way for my rolls, Or put the leash on my center line right above my chicken loop release. So it wont get in my way, But with no way to flag my kite if something were to happen. So with a little help from Steve B. I made a 24” spectra line extension leash. One end with a small loop attaches to the metal ring on my flag line, the other end with a larger grab loop gets velcroed to my center line, right above my bar. Wellllaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Sounds like a good solution. Definitely a nice retro fit to kites prior to 08. It was the biggest flaw of most of the bow/hybrid designs. I think in 08 we're gonna see this issue addressed by most manufacturers.
What happens to yours when you spin the bar?
Here's one solution. It works pretty slick. The safety line is stretchy below the center line "v". If you're doing a lot of spins in one direction, you'll still get the leash wrapped around the chicken loop.

Should be interesting to see how different manufacturers solve this problem.

I'm having trouble visualizing it. You guys have a picture of the system?
The leash attachment is above the bar, but the leash doesn't get in the way when you spin the bar? Do you attach your leash to your spreader bar? I could see if your leash had enough slack that it allowed the bar pass through the lower part of the loop.
Sorry if I'm being totally daft here, I'm just having trouble getting it. I couldn't find a good image of the bar online either.
The only reason I'm asking is as far as I know there wasn't a completely spinnable, convenient safety system out yet. I haven't seen a perfect system yet...though the SS is pretty close. ; )
sorry couldn't resist.

I think Tighe I right, the new rev safety system is about as good as it can get. I had that exact system in mind but couldn't figure out how to retrofit the small knot that bottoms out in the plastic ball at the front line Y. In order to totally flag the kite with only four lines, one of the center lines has to have a safety line passing through the bar. It's really the only good way. I've just stuck with the fifth line and everything is Golden.

Check out North's 5th Element Bar system, closest thing to a real 100% depower I have come across if you don't mind dealing with a 5th line system. I see what Tighe is saying though, I think maybe the guy is talking about just attaching the leash right above the Chicken loop, in the event of falling you just let go of the bar and hope it depowers the way it should, I think it's the only way if your talking about a 4 line spinning leash.

The leash is an extension ,it goes from one of the front lines and attaches to the chicken loop line above the bar, it's easily reachable , does not tangle, does not get in the way, you can leash to it or just grab it either to taste.
The 08 Ozone method is even more awesome but you'll have to wait for that.
