Cedar Sunday

Post by Nancy »

Cedar was fantabulous yesterday! It was great to see Christian out...we miss you! Nice to have someone upwind to play with... and nice jumps by the way! Steve ripping all those forwards, Rookie learning to jump and landing 'em. Thanks to the strangers on our dock (now friends) that gave me someone to try to show off to! Got my highest Cedar jumps to date. I rode all afternoon without lunch and didn't care if I ever came off for supper.....unbelievable I know! Mmm those windsurfers were looking pretty tasty, tho! Dennis, Rolv, Mike and ?Jeremy. Lots of planing going on out there. Great day to share on the water. I'm wearing the warm glow of tired muscles, sun, and fun today!!! :D

Thighs?

Post by JRN »

I'm hoping tired muscles are an improvement over "BURNING THIGHS!"
Are you reaching heights approaching Steve's case of Dom? Darlene claims to have surpassed it already. She may try to come to SPI & prove it in "real time." Diane was boosting some big stuff at Malmo yesterday. I tried showing off & almost lost my SX in the process. Pat got blown off his windsurfer & we were afraid we'd loose him, too, SCARY STUFF!! Jim N.

Hi Nance and Steve

Thanks for letting me play in your back yard pond. It was a blast. Sometimes it all comes together. Good wind, the right kite and board for the conditions. Couldn't ask for more. Nice with a day in the office. :?
You guys were looking like pros!

Jim, the thighs do burn, but they are best known for SCREAMING!!! :P To be honest, it was hurting just rolling over in bed last night!! So much for all the crunches! Nothing like a good jumping day to make it hurt to cough or laugh for a few days!!! :D Not sure if I've gotten to 15' yet...nobody seems to see my better jumps. Guess I should stay downwind where people can see me! I seemed to lose what jumping ability I had for about a year there, but it is coming back...yeeha! One of us gals should get there soon. BTW, I am OK with buying my own beverages!! Glad to hear y'all had a good day up at ML, too.

What a gift you guys have to have such a wonderful lake out your back door. So many of us have to drive 1-2hours to find similar conditions. AND when it's windy you have friends come to play with you. You must be grateful.

Yup, it's the bees knees! :D :D

Anybody want to join us? Just down the road on the lake is a 2 acre lot for sale, price about to drop from $299k and a 5-10 yr old home with pool for $445k. Amazing views. Hopefully before long there will be a 1 acre lot for sale, too. This shoreline is shallow enough for assisted launching, easy landing, and deep enough for long fins!

Yeh, that was Jeremy. Taking his last hurrah before he heads up to Duluth for his first year of college.

Sorry didn't get to stop and say hi, we had company.

Who had the orange/black/white kite?

Orange/black/white was Steve. (I was red-mostly in front of your place, Gary was yellow, Christian was mostly up by the sandbar-also red). Bon voyage to Jeremy. Both of Christian's girls are going to Duluth this fall too! Ruh roh...

Last minute change, Christian told me Friday that Kate decided to go to school in Denmark. That's all I know but it's a little way from Duluth
