Looks like a sweet system. Look out foils!
recon - will it work on the snow?

I've heard mixed reviews of the system. If they make it robust enough without sacrificing performance it will be pretty slick. Unfortunately, it is a complete system, you can't mix and match. The bar, lines and kite have to all be 2004 Cabrinha.
Cabrinha's focus for the snow has been to make their infatables better snow kites instead of developing a foil. Many of the other manufacturers, (eg. Wipika, Windwing, Naish etc.) are putting R&D into Foil development for the snow.

Hi Eric et al, I have already tried the new '04 Cabrinha recon system and it and the new Co2 17m kite totally rock. The system enables a reverse launch similar to the Wpka Airblast w/out the bridle mess and the lack of control "feel" at the bar. It is a very clean and efficient safety/relanch system which allows free spinning of the bar with no tangling of the front leader lines whatsoever. This system should rock on water or snow for anyone from beginner to pro. It is so in demand right now that I cannot even get a hold of a quiver for myself. The World market demand for these kite systems is overwhelming Cabrinha right now. If I'm lucky I'll see my order (9,12,17) by October. Meanwhile, I'll eagerly wait in line....-Teran Hughes. ps -the lift, hangtime and forgiveness of the co2 are unreal. Can you say mega high and mega long hangtimes????-Teran
