Elusive Lady.

Jane and I spent our wedding anniversary in Duluth Tuesday and yesterday. Front page headlines were how they had closed the beaches on Monday due to strong winds and rip tide. I totally missed it, but would feel less pain if I knew someone caught a piece of it. Chris? Ben? Chip? anyone?

Tuesday was very light and yesterday was big kite rideable from Brighton Beach, but hey, if you're celebrating an anniversary, no gear allowed. Oh well, I too, am so hungry for a good wave day. Fingers crossed.

if they close the beach to swimmers because of stong wind and currents.... can they keep us out as well... that would rely suck to drive all the way up there and be told "you can't go ride, cause the wind is perfect"

Other than preventing you from launching at the Tott Lott I don't know how "they" could prevent you from launching anywhere further down the Point.... Plenty of access. I'm sure Chip, Ben, Chris et al could point us in the right direction.

I was out of town Monday, bummer. The beach only gets closed in the summer, swimmers. A kid drown 4 years ago on Aug 8th. A bunch of us were sailing. 80 degrees, blue water, 5.5sail, beautiful swell........ then the rescue came. A bunch were pulled out of the water and one didn't make it. Never have I seen shredders with boards even addressed about the issue. Never even came to mind that it would apply to us  Go big or go home!!!!!!!!!!!
