Joe Murphy, who used to windsurf Calohoun skied across Antarctica. I searched the web for his book about the trip, but couldn't find it. I did find a different ski trek using kites(or is it a sail?) though.

I think they call that kite a "NASA wing". The come in really BIG versions too
