Couldn't make it to Pepin today since my childcare fell through (a whole story in itself). All was not lost since my daughter was at Bible school on Bellaire Ave for 3 hours this morning. Got the Bear all to myself on my 5.2 and Maxx Ride.
Pete, did you sail Byllesby or Pepin? Hope everyone had a nice day wherever you were.
Dave, I sailed both. Byllesby first because I couldn't handle being skunked again at Pepin. But about 3:30 I headed over to Pepin, WI to find more nice wind. Stayed there till the rain rolled through. It was a fun solo day.
I came to Byllesby right behind Pete. Sailed 4.7 for a short session on my wave board then switched to a very fully powered 5.5 until the rain came. When the wind is up, this place rocks! All that sailing on Cannon has made me forget how much Byllesby teaches you about pointing and jibing on those short reaches.
