someone besides myself must be thinking of riding today. Surface is probably awful but thats nothing we haven't had to deal with before. Any takers. Mahtomedi? Any ice condition/safety report from locals?

I'd love to ride... Not much wind in the forecast, though. I'm hoping for some late-season speed runs.

The snow is pretty much gone, leaving the surface rough but faster. Now we just need the wind!!!

Ice has got to be plenty thick still. There were trucks out at Bellaire last night. Looks like were gonna have some colder temps so the season's not over yet!

I checked out calhoun this afternoon. I was surprised at the surface still being decent-definitely rideable on a board without switchblade. It was still 40-50% snow covered and the rest ice crystals. Lots of slush around the perimeter but not bad in the middle. I almost rigged but wind was 5 to 8. A couple of more mph and I would have been riding.
