Wanted to go to the Father Saturday, unfortunately I can't get away that long. Anybody else going to the Wac tomorrow? :?:
I'm thinking of maybe around 1:00 or 1:30.

I am new to kiting this year, so I have never been in the water this late in the season. Am I going to be OK in a wet suit, or is it dry suit only time?

I would think it would be pretty miserable and dangerous in a wet suit. I say dry suit only preferably with hood, gloves and thick booties.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like you saved us from a chilly mistake.

So, plan B. Is there a place where you all gather to land board? My son and I would like to check that out as well and see what it is all about.

I agree, dry only unless you have a 5/4 or better wet. Boots and gloves
are all part of the program. Last time I was out fishing on Wednesday, the surface temp was in the low 40s. We have also had a couple days of nice weather, that may help. Just ask yourself, can I stay warm for a hour in this water with my suit, while I self drift in.

Hey Nate,
It'd be cool to check you guys out on the land boards. I'll try to meet you guys around noon too at the boat ramp.
