I need more
I bought a 6m samurai from boardspots last year and i snow kited and land kited all year and it is geting old. I lost my prime atb kite spot due to the fact it is a privately owned soccer field in hudson. they said it ruined the grass. grrrrr.... Anyway I know i need a new bigger and better kite but i have only used mine. I don't know anyone who kites. would anyone be able to meet up with me on cedar lake to let me try a kite or two(when they freeze). I'll buy you a case of beer for the trouble.

wind is my crack "SO GIVE IT TO ME I NEED IT...
come on just one more knot".
come on just one more knot".

Almost any winter weekend you can find a group of us kitin'd'BEAR(White Bear Lake). Why don't you come up & join us? You can probably try some kites and get some suggestions on a bigger one. Just watch this site, & someone usually posts when they're heading out. Tighe also can set you up with winter kite lessons and deals on new foils or bows. I'm anxious to get out on the white stuff again, too. C U then,
Jim N.

good to talk to you last week. Your stoke is glowing strong. Jim's suggestion is a good one. What the site to keep your eye on the wind and when it's buidling find out where everone is heading. Over the years I've learned so much hangin and riding with others.
I think your approach is solid. There are so many great kites out there now. Riding as many as you can, and talking to others, will give you an idea of the ride that you're looking for.
You should hook up with Nathan Borer. He's been developing a snowkite terrain park over the last few years, each year making it better and better. Check out some of the photos at John Peterson site.

I have most of the Slingshot kites for demo purposes. Anytime you want to take a ride let me know.

swede lake? Where is it. My father inlaw is rebuilding the Epoxical building (the building that burned down a week or so ago) and should have a ton of plywood and 2x4s left that they're using as a temp fencing. I will have plenty of stuff for supplies. Do you leave the stuff on the lake of tote it back and forth?
swede Lake is located 40 min. west of mipls on hwy.7 strait North of Waconia on co.rd.10 witch is off of hwy.7. look under lakes sectoin and it should be there. I think.
wow thats sounds sick we gladly take donatoins 4 lumber, building supplies, etc. LOL . I do not store objects there because we use them more at the SnowPound where I live, there is a big barn and pole shed to store things in and work on stuff out of the element. and we have Rail Yard and just use a down ramp we build to Jib. we will hauling in icesnoe from the hockey rink soon!! shoot me a email at NSKiting@yahoo.com
if u would like to fly some new kite before the snow let me know.

hmmmm. I looked the lake up on yahoo and that is a bit of a drive and I dont think my bucket will make the trip. once or twice sure but i want to go every weekend possible. and if i liked it over there it would be a tease. I'm not saying i wont go but I at least want to establish my self with a new kite. no point in going that far to spend all my time on my back side.
Avery and I are building some portable rails and box that can be taken on and off the ice easily. We have some good size trailers, and a full machine shop to work with. We should be working on them in the next few weeks. They will be most likely be set up on the WBL and Minnetonka. We will not be able to leave them on the ice though. This might be an option for you too.

are u intrested in a kite 4 sno and water or just snow?
Water and snow. land kiteing is tough to find spots i know of a few but i only got in to it to improve skills till i was ready for a new kite. snow and water are where its at.
