great stories. chris...here's one of a board flying off at 70mph.

i was at home in shawano, wi for the 4th 3 years ago..

had a great session and when it was time to leave, put my new jimmy lewis board and gear in the rocket box.

so we get on the highway and BAMM...I hear something above and see stuff flying out of the rocket box. Must not have closed it tight. So I pull over and run out to see my new yellow jimmy lying in the middle of HWY 29. traffic wasn't too bad, so I was able to direct most of the traffic around the board. 2 semi trucks missed the board. MOST missed the board that is.

So here comes a big souped up black pickup truck with a boat heading straight for my board. I'm trying to wave him around it and the son of a bitch runs right over it with a smile on his face. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

MY smartest move ever???

I didn't give the guy the middle finger salute. Seeing the confederate flag and gun rack on the back was enough to let him just keep on going without me waving goodby with my middle finger.

board was totalled. ouch.

Board flew off the trailer bounces off the road into a ditch, fortunately it was a Tiga 260, there was a few scratches on the road and a ding in the ditch but the board was fine.
Gorge....Jack and Steve Mertz are tieing 6 boards onto the roof of my van, I wanted to check everything but people can take it personally when you check their handiwork. 1/2 a mile completed on the home trip and the whole lot hits the road.Bad naughty words from Steven...Jack being Jack just shrugged his shoulders and started to pick up boards. Bummer was only one board was damaged and that was Jacks favourite his Dill, still didn't phase him.
Put a 2 piece mast into the mast holders on our trailer, arrived with a 1/2 piece mast.....any one want a fiberspar top section?.
I should point out this is over 20+ years, it makes me sound like a disaster area.
