wow no postings?

What a great day! The sun was strong, the wind a bit schizophrenic, and the joy to be at the lake again was electric.

Geoff Martin carried the stoke for the windsurfers, glowing from what seemed like a great season opener.

As was the case on one of last fall's major gusty days, there was a bit of kite equipment carnage, though it was good to see everyone keeping an eye out for eachother. Without drysuits the float in would have been dangerous. Even with all the equipment challenges people still seemed pretty stoked.

It was good to see some new faces at Waconia, Chris and Johnny and Heidi. As well as the familiar faces, Moondog, Larry, Matt, Charlie, Andy, Kirk, Doug, Cornboy, Pete, Geoff, Chicky, John and others. Not enough time to chat, and ride.

I had an awesome day. My new kite (9m) was super stable in the gusts and made me feel like I almost knew what I was doing in the air. So reassuring with the water as cold as it still is.

I saw a few other people brought shovels as well. I think we may need to make the effort on some day when it isn't blowing.

As I left Vojta was the only one on the water, skyin high above the shimmering waters. Hope some others were able to join him for a sunset session.

how was it elsewhere?

Maybe everyone was too spent last night. I know I was. My last session I was only able to go out and back twice before my body told my head to quit, NOW!

Chris Butzow; You are going to love the colors on my new Kotatat. Mango and Cobalt. The fellows say they know it's me from 3/4 of a mile away. Stunning. Please bring more wrinkle cream for me when we meet next.

Can anyone get of for a sail today? Where?

It was 4.5ish at Cannon. A bit gusty, but all in all an excellent day. Toasty warm and it blew from sun up till sundown. ...on a weekend!
Today looks like a repeat down there.

Great times at WBL. 5 kites on the water, 3 of which were 8.4 Airblasts. The wind was up and down, but quite nice when up. The usual suspects, too numerous to name, were enjoying some pretty solid windsurfing conditions. Some new faces too. I love the launch at Ramsey! Not a shovel to be seen. I am headed back for another fix today.
