Email from Lakawa not working.

Currently the email function from Lakawa is not working. You are able to fill out a message though it doesn't go to receiver.

Coach, mr. phpBB guru, any ideas?

Yeah - I never really intended the email features of the site to work. It opens up more security issues with my server, plus just the hassle of maintaining it. It was just an added bonus when it started working because of the email forwarding that kicked in while we were doing some maintenance.

Tell me folks - do you like the email features of the site? Have you used them? Do you even know what they are or what they do?

If there is demand for the features I'll look at putting in some effort to make them work reliably. Speak up, people.

without it there is no way to directly contact the person, since in the profile the email is just displayed as a link ( which is what doesn't work). If others don't think they'll want it, we can just make the link disappear.

so yeah, what Coach said,...do you want to be able to contact posters via email?

I tried this feature in attempting to get a list from M.Dog Mooney of the stuff he posted in the classifieds...It was convenient, but I could also have just e-mailed him directly...Don't turn it on for my sake...I'll just stop using it now that I know it isn"t viable...JRN
