2 weeks until the Montana Snowkite Rodeo!

Post by mtice »

Presidents Day Weekend is almost upon us and that means its time for the 3RD annual Montana Snowkite Rodeo. This years event is once again being hosted at the beautiful Georgetown Lake just outside of Anaconda, Mt. Pro and amateur riders from Norway, France, England, Canada, and the United States will join Montana’s growing number of snowkiters for an event jam packed with excitement and Montana style fun. Kiter Cross races and Big Air Freestyle events will be taking place all weekend long as well as a couple of new events including Kite Barrel racing and a huge Downwind Free-for-all. There will be free Kite Demo Lessons given by certified PASA instructors on Saturday and Sunday, and this year a plethora of prizes will be raffled off all weekend long. An overwhelming amount of local businesses and sponsors have donated prizes for the raffle, ranging from kites, snowboards, goggles, gloves, beanies and accessories to free lodging and vacation packages from some of the area’s greatest establishments. And after the days events are over.... join us at the Georgetown Lake Lodge for some great entertainment. Live bands and drink specials courtesy of Georgetown Lake Lodge and Captain Morgan and will be going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights as well as a good, old fashioned Montana Ho-down party Sponsored by Slingshot and Red Bull. Come join in the fun this February 17-20, and make this years Snowkite Rodeo the best one yet.

The Montana Snowkite Rodeo is brought to you by Montana Kite Sports, the Georgetown Lake Lodge, and many other local and national sponsors. For more information go to http://www.montanakitesports.com or call Keith at 406-461-5302, or Georgetownlakelodge.com 406-563-7020.
