I know you are waiting for a response from expert company; However I do not work this weekend. So I will be there, let me know where are you going to be, and i will gladly join you,
Unfortunately I have a birthday party planed for me down your way on saturday night, so I probably woun't be around till noon sunday. Your welcome to stay. Hope you get wind like we just got up here today. Super steady 15 MPH with a great edging base. Really fast runs, I don't think I've ever gone that fast with that much power. Had a good crowd out too, with Todd and Mike B showing, the whole Jones family, Rick, Jim and another guy I never meet. Jeremy was showing off some great skills today in the powered conditions. Jacob was flyin high on a 10 M ozone, crazy. The surface is perfect for big boostin, great fun. Hope to see you guys on Sunday afternoon if it blows.
Waconia currently has a 0-2 inch base on it. Mostly I would say between about a half inch to 1.5 inches and a few ice spots and some very small drifts up to 2 inches. It was really really fast, you bearly needed any power to get going on it but jumping was hard because of the small edge. It was still tons of fun to get out but its getting to be almost ice skates time(there were 2 or 3 people kite with ice skates today at waconia) and tommarows warm up doesnt look like its gonna help. We could definately use some snow out there on the lakes right now.
Waconia has much better conditions than I expected. In close to the launch it is pretty nasty with all the snowmobile tracks but a few hundred feet out it gets really nice. Great for skis. Soft, with plenty of edge. And very fast. Perfect for lessons. I think the boarders wanted deeper snow.
Someone had asked about the Polo Fields. Not sure what the snow is like there but there are power lines on the North side, so South winds are a bit dangerous.
forecast looks great for Mille lacs this weekend looks like 10-20 for Sat and Sunday
I Might not be able to make it out though. someone hit my new truck so it might be in the shop
I am going to try like hell to get out there for the weekend but I don't know how this is going to work out
Anybody know if there's any snow left up at Milly after todays thaw. I'd go up to find snow, I'm sure it's gonna be pretty hard to hold an edge on a snowboard now,
Jon, If you can get near Delano you could ride up with me.
Ill be at the polo feilds tommarow. I was there checking them out at around 3:30 and it was about 3-5 inches of very wet snow. For tommarow though, its going to freeze up and be pretty solid but maybe warm up to be perfecto for later afternoon. Who knows. But NW works pretty well there. If its windy ill be there 12ish.
I'm going out today, so I'll give you guys a report on the snow out there. It didn't get as warm up here as it did for you guys the last couple of day. I'd guess right now that it will be pretty good out there still.
we will let you know tonight... Jeff and I are waiting for an update from Eric ( I think it will be a good one)
we would be leaving Delano around 8:30 AM Sat.
The snow looks great out there still. I didn't ride milly today, went to north long instead. I'm sure the snow conditions will be good. Actually these conditions up here right now are my favorite. You can build up so much speed with a big kite in really marginable winds. Hope you guys have some wind if you come up. Unfortunately, I'll be down in your neck of the woods this weekend, so no riding for me. Hope to see everyone next weekend at the jam, and if anyone needs a place to stay, my door is always open.
TJ,
We might not be heading up to mille lacs anymore.... I don't realy know
Give me a call tomorow or tonight...
I will let you know where we are planning, maby out west instead.
Jon
