Sean Man, Vojta and myself had a totally awesome time last night kiting in the full moon at Kite Island. The surface is snow less with honeycomb ice and small surface bumps and TOTALLY fast. It was one of my best sessions all year. Full Speed in the dark gotta love it. It is so fast you can go to Big Island then to the Arcola and back to the Island in minutes.
I parked on the beach in Wayzata and kited out to the island, while Sean Man and Vojta both drove out to the Island. My rule is if the ice fisher men aren't driving on the lake anymore than I don't.
We have big old Ski's on our feet. It is amazing that you can lock an edge and totally rip full speed on the spring ice.
Another fantastic night (Tues). John came out to played after it got dark. The Wayzata city lights reflect off the clouds and brighten up the entire bay.
