I'm sorry, but we need to re-name Mille Lacs Lake...urr..ahh...Kitetopia!!?? Yea, cause that is what it friggin was today my friends. I love this lake. The North Shore has a 8-10" base with 1" pow on top...OHH hho OOOOOH I can't even put it into words. Miles...Milly miles of wide open terrain, flat, virgin, smooth...Want to hit a ridge and boost? Yea, there is plenty of that too. Want to board slide a 1000 ft. pressure ridge...go for it. They go on forever!!
Stopped in at the Red Door Resort Office and gladly handed over the $10 road fee. Checked out the $79.95 cabins...Nice & clean, would sleep 6 adults comfortably...Do the math...that's cheap. Also checked the motel rooms...CLEAN. $44.95 per night!!
Yea man...this was close to one of the best family riding days ever...definite top 3 material. The whole family was present and riding!! Vivian Clark (photographer/new kiter) was on hand and she shot up 6 rolls of film on us today!! She got one shot of us four riding close together (Jason, Melissa, Jacob, Jeremy)...she was down wind of us and she got all four kites and all four riders in one shot...NICE!! Michelle was tacking back and forth today nicely for her first time. Yea we even let Justin tag along today and he was up to his old self...jumping everywhere like a fool yelling, hooting & hollering!!

Not sure about the weekend but Friday's wind forecast 15-25 ENE. Drive out on the fricken plowed freeway about two miles and you got the cleanest wind and most perfect snow in Minnesota baby. Now get up here and get nutty with us!! What are ya waiting for??!!
