Ahh..

Is this happening to anyone else?

Forecasting information is restricted to FX and Wireless members only. To access forecasting you need to upgrade now. Get upgrade info.

I guess I'll either have to stop going there, or quit being a cheapskate huh?

It was great man.

Aside from the wicked sunburn I got in Cozumel. Ouch! That's what playing in the ocean all day and open bar will get you! Now I'm peeling like a leper! Next time you and Caroline will have to come with us. Cruises would be alot more fun with a good group of people! Thanks for asking Scott!

We have just booked a trip to the Mayan for May, I can't wait to go!! I have not been able to talk Caroline into letting me take a couple of kites and my board with me yet, but I think she will crack.

Glad to hear you guys had a great time, along with the great time always comes great stories, I can't wait to hear some of them. Hope to see you two soon, I was thinking of taking a trip up to Millacs again this Saturday and kite for the day, maybe but nothing set in stone yet.

Scott.

We have to go to a wedding in Duluth on Saturday but we plan on kiting until 3pm up there.. Wanna come play in Duluth? Crash a wedding with us? Tear up the town later? Emily took out her biggest kite ever yesterday. A 15M Pre-production Bomba. She was doing awesome! Got lifted about a foot of the ground and wasn't thrilled, but soon enough she will be! haha. Check out a crappy camera phone pic below. Maybe see you in Duluth this weekend?? Wink wink, nudge nudge...

Funny I thought you were talking tongue and cheek when you asked how was the honeymoon.

The honeymoon is over with iwindsurf/ikitesurf. You may have remembered awhile back I posted about some of the history with them. They wanted all the local lake info I had, in return for a link for Lakawa on their site. I asked for the ability to bring up their forcasts in the Wind Page of Lakawa. They said no...copied the list of lakes and got forecasts for them and then as expected after giving the service to people ( the honeymoon) began to charge. Too bad. They do a pretty good job. Would have liked to work with them.

Maybe I should do that. Now that I have you addicted to this site, require a fee. Not in my nature. Tips are always welcome though : )

You can still get the forcast data. You just need to go round about. It's only one city at a time, that's the difference.

Here is Waconia 7 day.

I can't find the all state, daily forcast, (the one your looking for) I bet, you can find it somewhere though. Though it looks like they are trying to get us to cough up some coin. Total BS. They have ads all over already. Why should we pay? Are they going to remove the ads if we pay?

Tom..

You're right. You can still check out forcasts. Thanks for the tip. There are plenty of places to check the wind anyway I guess. Kind of the same thing for a forum though too Tighe. I love LAKAWA, but I need to spend my money on kite toys and gas money more then talkin BS on a forum or checking wind at one specific site. I'd pay the hosting fee though every month to have a community this cool. I think any of us would.

There is a drop down menu, left middle to switch locations, it's not too bad.

I think you could get a cross section of the state using Wind Guru, if you take the time to imput the sites.

Mille Lacs forecast:

http://www.ikitesurf.com/windandwhere.i ... ast+Graphs

From the "wind & forecast" main page, zoom in on Minnesota until you get the menu on the left that has "Latest Forecasts" with Mille Lacs on there. Then click on Mille Lacs.

You can create your own page at WindGuru for free. Create a login and then input the data for the locations you want on your custom page. Only show 12hrs a day to get a full week on a page. The graphs take up more room than iWindurf so you have to scroll if you wan to see alot. But you could get a look at 3 or 4 lakes real quick, like say Mille Lacs, Green, Waconia, Cannon which gives you an idea where the wind is going to be. It goes out 7 days.

FYI: To select your custom location you have to have the Latitude & Longitude. I get it from mapping software, but I bet you could Google it.
