North of San Diego in the town of La Jolla there is a community of about 35 kiters on a windy day.

The surf is about 3-5 feet, and wind is about 15-20 mph side on shore, which is a good day for them. They mainly ride 14-16 m kites 50/50 mix of twin tip/surfboards. When I bring my gear again I will only bring one kite a 15m and a large twin tip board.

There is so many other things to do, and so many places to eat on non windy days. It's a perfect place to go on vacation with the wife not planning on kiting and just enjoying the warm sun, but when the wind picks up you can pick up a day or two of kiting.

Look for lifeguard tower 27 they kite right out in front of there. There is a parking lot between tower 26 and 27.

Call if you are look for more information on kiting La Jolla call me.
