learning to snowboard before winter kiteboarding options

Post by RobH »

Anyone looking to kiteboard (using snowboard) for the first time and have not snowboarded before here is your chance to pick up the skills before the lakes have good ice and snow cover.

Welch Village has some great programs this year if your looking to learn how to snowboard. The hill is in great shape with most runs already open for the season. I met 2 fellow windsurfers there who are also teach there while going through the intructors clinics.

Im sure Afton, Hyland hills, Wild and Buck all have comparable programs, however Welch has the best beginer hill in the area.
Welch offers a $49 first run at the ski school - gets you new rental equipment, a lift pass and up to 90 minute lesson. Or if you can find a group of 10 or more for saturday night they offer a $25 per person learn to board or ski on a saturday night from 5:30 to close

You can check it out at http://www.welchvillage.com
