What a contrast: First day windsurfer in 2012 (warm winter) was March 16th.
Just one year later, 2013 cold winter, (even had a big Snow dump on May 3rd with 15 inches in SE Minn. and we
didn't get out on the water until May 8th!!

So...it's "not uncommon" to have to wait through part of April for ice to melt.
