Yes,,in the Sea I was, (in the Laguna Madre to be specific) and wind was blowing a steady 30 mph out of the N.
Yes, this was a typical Blue Norther day on a March day in South Padre Island and I was in standing depth water, just resting and with 4.5 sail just floating partially submerged
under the surface of the water. When, ALL OF A SUDDEN a massive gust picked up that sail and blew it up, out and towards the nose of the AHD 85 liter rental board!
IT was going to smack hard on the nose and do some serious damage,,,but as quick as lighting,,,the deviator (deviated the mast to the side and sail went right back into the water)!!
No Harm done! Deviators DO Work!!!!
Quetzalcoatl (or the Deviator man) out.
P.S. What a cool story eh?
The Sea was angry that day my friends (another story)
