MTKA

Post by BSMITH »

I just got off the lake. Kited from one end to the other. It's all good. Major traction! Lots more snow around Tonka than there is here in Bloomington.

The wind is going to clock to the SW by noon. I'm heading out to the island.

I was thinking of kiting over to the island from Browns or Wayzatta with a backpack of beer. We really need to befriend some of the point owners.

Hay brian!! Robinsons bay won't work on a south to west but Wayzata bay would work pretty well. You mentioned spirit island but since you can't drive to it; what's your access spot?
Hey Johnny boy! Diego and I will be in Wayzata at the beach around 1 pm.

I am thinking of launching out of robinson's bay. There is a public beach down robinson's bay road. I am also planning on the back pack with beer.

I was also thinking about Robinson Bay too, but I was wondering if it's possible to park at the end of Harrington Road, Wayzata which would be really close to Kite Island? Has anyone ever tried parking here or is the area restricted? http://www.google.com/maps?q=Ramsey+Roa ... 1&t=m&z=16

Another good launch point is The corner of Browns bay where co rd 15 makes a sharp bend and goes up to 50. It is the area between the marinas and the bend in the road. If it is not too crowded with fisherman you can just pull over and walk on to lake. I am packing up and heading over their.
