Dave is right, sailing at LoBrill was fine without a wetsuit. I was talking
about the diving, it was a wee bit chillier near Cabo and 100ft underwater

Steven, Went to Cabo a couple of years ago and drove up to Vela at Los Barilles, got a great 5.0 day in. You can't go wrong with Vela, they always have decent gear. I remember being there about this time of year and they had just got all new equipment for the upcoming season, nice! We also went divi...

Bad snorkeling weather in Aruba?

Getting ready to go to Aruba today, my wife checks the weather down
there and says, "Aww....it looks like its going to be cloudy and windy there
all week". Yeah!, errr....ahhh...I mean, I'm sure we'll get some good
snorkeling in while we're there honey. :D

Waconia.......The Energizer

Got to Wack yesterday, small children and animals were blowing across the parking lot, everyone on 4.0's and 4.5's. Uh-oh I sez to meself, 5.3 being my smallest sail, guess I'll have to go out and take it like a man. Spent the first two hours cursing and whining, trying to remember how to sail, so o...

Dang, dem blasted land sports'll get ya every time! I was skating with my son at a skate park last year when I fell. I landed so hard on the cell phone in my pocket that I swear I could almost read the numbers from the keypad in the perfectly phone shaped bruise. As I laid there wondering if I shoul...

Madeline is way cool! I sailed there a few of years ago, we camped at Big Bay and I got a session in there on an easterly, beautiful long sand beach and shallow water. I also sailed on the west side from a little beach just north of town on a southerly wind. Its right next to the breakwater where th...

Sailed there last Thursday, it looked like someone blew up a submarine.
I just closed my eyes and prayed, somehow missing all the debris. May the force be with you.

Definately the gusts from hell!! Funny thing is I had a better day in the gusts than the steadier wind session of last week cuz I actully rigged my equipment correctly this time. Amazing what an inch of downhaul and a tweak of the mast track will do. The water was actually clear......err....ahh........

Kevin, You can sail almost any direction somewhere on Pepin but the best by far is actually E/SE. When sailing from the point in Lake City, about 110-120deg. is best for swell and steady wind. When it clocks more than 135 or so it becomes gusty and you get beat to death heading straight into the cho...

anybody find a wetsuit and harness at Wac today?

You know you're a parent when, in your haste to get to the kids cub scout
meeting, you forget stuff at the beach. Anybody by chance pick up an
O'neill steamer and Dakine harness at Waconia today?

Thanx
Chris
