Those of us who are Day workers...Mon. through Friday are very much aware
of the fact that we only get the weekend (just two days) every week to sail.

So: no matter what get out there!

Cannon surprised us with over half lake covered with ice!

Still four of us sailed (windsurfed) and one Kiteboarder.

At one point two windsurfers were blasting in alongside the kiteboarder with the ice mass behind them. That was an amazing scene!

Wind folks,,,this Sunday there'll be reasons for bringing out the garage cleaning "tools" to Lake Cannon

or a pond near you! Likely to need small brooms to medium sized brooms,,,no big brooms needed. "Hint, hint, nudge, nudge."

Some years ago, I was on a Bic 283 cm long windsurf board (69 cm wide and 152 liters) and I was using a 62 cm. straight fin and a 6.5 meter sail. Too my surprise the entire board was a foot above the water while I was sailing (I guess air planning)! In other words there was no contact with the water...

A guy who who visits his cabin (almost daily) says Lake Pepin is ALL liquid water (as far as the eye can see).
