4th on wbl?

Looks like a steady 10 all afternoon. May try a GIANT gear session if the boat traffic isn't too wild. Haven't gotten my 9.5 wet in a while....maybe its a sign of aging! J.N.

Sure-Fire?

I've been using my 5th line as a safety, but have it connected to the spinning leash arrangement on my (newly-acquired) surefire spreader.
So far it hasn't tangled. Do you think it would have worked in your situation? J.N.

Saturday Rocked

Had a nice crowd show up @ Milly on Sat. The accomplished kiters chose Reddy, so that left plenty of rigging room @ Malmo. Josh brought an en-tire family of windsurfers: Wife, Mom, Dad, Bro, Sis-in-law. Scott, the only non-beginner brought our mascot: Tasha. The rest of us were paying the newbie due...

No Dice

Circled the Home Pond, but didn't look very "ON." Back to the leaf blower for me. Red Green would just duct tape it to the back straps, crank it up and....Oh no....disaster strikes!

Weekend Warriors

Got to WBL around 1 p.m. on Sat..just in time for a line of showers to blow through. Returned around two and found M. Winter boosting on a big mutha Best. He stopped to show me his 12 Naish(SOLD!) after which I went out for several fully powered runs on my 9.5. Winds gradually diminised the rest of ...

M-LAX

Drove past the "kiddie-pool" this afternoon on my return from Grand Rapids...flat as a flippin' flapjack! Be glad you didn't drive up. Glad you scored a sesh, Mike! Broke my surfmobile last weekend, so have to re-allign my "quiver" (and I'm not referring to viagra). So hope I can...

Message received Loud & Clear

I guess I must have found it interesting after all, since it did ellicit a reaction...besides, if I didn't read every post, it would mean I'd actually have to GET A LIFE!! So, go crazy go nuts, get metaphysical, rhetorical, geopolitical, psuedo-scientific. It'll at least make for interesting reading...

9.5 paradise

After a long reach upwind from Ramsey to near the "gap", we managed to satisfy the urge to plane just down-wind of the point. But big boards and sails were definitely the call. Met yet another kiter named Matt, who got moving on a Slingy 13...Are they cloning Matts somewhere with a genetic...

between the bloody lines?

Holy Crap! Was I the only one to take T's suggestion literally? I thought he actually meant physically going to a different location to Kite or Wind- surf. I blinked, and a couple of posts later we're into this metaphorical cum metaphysical/ geopoltical discussion. Personally, though I feel we're al...

Build/Ding

Stopped by Ramsey to find Gary(?) from Lakeville and Chris B. with their kites at the ready...Sad to say I bailed as it looked like it was trying to build, but didn't look tempting enough to me, anyway. Hope they got some rides!! J.N. P.S. Now, Thursday might be different.

Topography

Maybe someone like the Nat'l Geoglogical Survey, would enable us to scope out which lakes lie at a favorable elevation to make for non-sheltered wind sites. That would allow us to pin-point the area and scout it out! Might hold new adventures for us all!! They didn't call him Merry- weather for noth...
