For me it's 4 inches of clear ice. School section had that all over last weekend. Might be six inches this weekend I would feel very comfortable on that.
Ice is never 'safe'. I always check it out and take at easy at first.

Ice, Ice, baby Ice
Hey, Jerry S and I took a look at a midsized lake just east of powder ridge (Kimball, MN) today after a hard day of jibing and bonking at Powder Ridge. I wasn't ready to kiteskate or kiteboard but we thought we'd check it out for sunday. We went out on the ice and found that it was clear and 4 inche...

Hey Julia! Thanks for the info. Good luck in your tourny at Augsburg this weekend. Took my CCM 652 Super Tacks out of the bag today and skated on a local pond up here in Zimmerman. I'm kind of glad I didn't sharpen them yet cause there was alot of debris on the ice. I got my 3.3M Foil out and did a ...

Re: Getting back in the swing and kite line repairs
Bill, a line with a knot in it is weaker that one without. I'd think about replacing the line. You sould be OK if you don't jump or go out super powered up. -eric I'm finally getting over the hump of moving into my fixer upper on Spring Lake. This is a smaller rectangular shaped lake that you all ca...

Kite tweaking tomorrow
Jerry S and I are going to Monticello in the morning to work on our foils. I will be unpacking and trying to figure out how to rig the Psycho 9.5
I was going to do it today but it was too windy.
