I got an email from Midwest Mountaineering commenting on some of there sales and I remembered this post. I like your take Tighe and positioning of the different resources available to us. Thanks for fleshing it out. It reminds me of the demo option which is really the best way to gain understanding ...

White-out and wickedly windy all day on Ripley. Haven't used my 2M trainer foil kite in a long time but glad I had it along, it was the only kite i had that would manage the 25-35mph blast. Thanks for offering to take the 2.5 Mosquito for a spin Jerry - it was pulling me like a freight train. Who kn...

Litchfield or Fergus Falls lake report?
My travel plans for the holiday bring me to these areas - the wonderful rural MN - back to my roots; not the bahamas. Any "poster's" have feedback on the lake conditions for Lake Ripley in Litch or the Fergus Falls area (actually Elbow Lake but whatever is near)? Tomorrow is looking like a...

Yes, posting to my own post....
The paper came out today. The rider featured isn't me: http://waconiapatriot.com/waconia_patriot/news/
Any guesses?
More unpublished photos to be found tomorrow and can be found in Photo Gallery/Sun Patriot Photos/Keith Anderson. [/url]

Wac yesterday
Glad to read of others siezing the opportunity yesterday. I was surpised there weren't more kiters on Wac but see by the other posts they had plenty of options. We had maybe 10 at the most and several windsurfers. Thanks for your time Tighe and your 9M. I was a little under powered but was able to r...

David, Wetsuit, really? I thought it's too cold for that. Maybe until the weather outside is above 60 is what I thought for a wetsuit. Have you been in the freshly iceless water in this? I'm interested if this gets me out in what we have here in MN for now. I could use the time on water to hone in o...

Yeah, great photos of your session at WBL today. Energized to see you having fun in this weather. You guys are definetly the type to make lemonade when life is throwing you lemons. Major bummer about the blow out of your sail. It looked like a clean break on the seam from the pic so I'm hoping it's ...

Mark, Thanks for pointing out my skirt when it came to driving on the road to the island. Well, it's not really a road, more of a make shift, sloshy, rutted and curvy trail. But this is one of the reasons why we bought rigs that are 4x4's. Funny to hear Peter and Voitja's story of how they made the ...

LE bladder fixed!
I have to give some good praise to Jeff Adamski for fixing the LE bladder on my 20M Yarga. I considered doing it myself but upon further consideration I think I would have horsed it up. Jeff diagnosed, assessed and fixed it in an hour. I was planning on dropping it off and picking it up later but he...

I bought the one from Ozone at Larry's and it works splendidly. Their design took into consideration the cold weather by encasing the plastic tube in stitched fabric. I predict it will never break. If any complaint it's too stiff and difficult to bend. But, for $12 it got me riding pronto and I don'...

What an awesome day. Thanks for your time Scott, hopefully I can return the favor. The 4-5pm lull was good rest for the ride I had afterwards. The wind was wicked and the moonlit lake was unforgetable. My kite slips in the power zone so easily and I haven't figured out how to dump the power quickly....
