Re: Green Lake This Weekend

I'll be in the area Friday - Sunday and would like to give Green lake a try. I'm a little directionally blind. Grew up in a town where directions are given in landmarks. GPS and the compass in my car helps when I'm on the go but when referencing my memory banks it gets fuzzy. So, near Melvins, bible...

Re: Yeah!!!!!!!

Ditto for the wonderful day. Body aches today. Thanks for letting me use the 5 and 7 TB. I used my 9 T2 for the first time afterwards and laughed when I pulled it out of the bag b/c it was mostly PINK! I got a little hung up in the wind shadow of the island with the on-shore winds. Kinda fluky and d...

Weather looks iffy for tomorrow morning. I'll be watching the forecast closely, if there is a break anyone up for something ending by 11am?

Re: Can anyone come out to play?

Well....how did it go? We got teased at WBL. Wet, shlogged, a few puffs of maybe we're gonna get a ride and then...nothing. Nice to see how warm the water was though in my 3mm suit. it won't be long until we're just in shorts.

Graphs show a peak in the afternoon but nothing beats being on site. I'm in Maple Grove now and willing to go out if I can get a testimonial.

Re: peterib or jerry green lake?

Got to give it a go on Norway Lake (near Spicer). Used the 14M and had mucho fun. Lost my board for a while and head the family do a search and rescue for it. I body dragged into shore and then joined them. Funny how the board pitched and rolled but didn't move that much. We looked for about an hour...

Re: New lightweight Bladders

Any engineers out there who can summize the effect of this new bladder in our cold winters? It looked like a bulge had formed right at the very end of the vid when he squeezed it. The bulge didn't go back to the normal positioin and looked to have distended the bladder. Other than that I may want to...

Not sure if we've met but accidents are never cool, especially to kiters, at the dawn of the summer.

I had a brother in-law who had a similar thing happen (understanably each case is different) but he had a complete and total recovery.

Hope your scenerio is similar.

Re: back from Padre

Mark, you were spot on about building a tan base. Rob and Katie, if you have a chance, duck into a tanning booth for 8+ min and build a foundation. The wind has a cooling effect by itself from the Gulf then add being wet and you get a deceptive chill (and shivers - I like that word, say it 5 times a...

back from Padre

I just unpacked and found a little sand has made its way into my home. It will be a pleasant reminder of a fantastic trip. I pulled out my camera to show my wife some of the goings on and realized I made the classic mistake of not taking enough pictures. I hope those of you down there get snapshot h...

Dakine Nitrous shorts XL anyone?

I saw a while back, maybe Nathan, had a pair of XL Dakine shorts for sale. I searched the Classifiedes but I think it's been buried.

Anyone got an XL pair they want to sell to help a brotha out? I see Midwest Mountaineering has them on sale at $69.95.

Thanks,

Michael

I'll second what Jerry said about it being better than ever. Each injury is unique so this is best determined by your favorite doc (I reccomend a sports physician and would think this is pretty routine surgery nowadays). "It sounds" like what I had done. I went 4 years with it progressivel...

Wonderful day. Nice location in front of Kowalski's. The snow stuck and created a nice soft bed. easily one of the best sessions for me this winter.

Nice to meet Max and Chad. Can't believe Max is 13! Way to go!
