Planning the family winter vacation has been left up to me this year. I'm trying to find a family friendly place, good beaches, shopping and of course most importantly a place to Kite. Has anybody spent time in San Juan or have any other locations that they would recommend?

I'm heading to Bellaire at 2:30 as long as there is no swimmers.

I hope to get out in the late afternoon.

Good idea, as a beginner I found launching at Rutherford yesterday was far less stressful than Ramsey, even without swimmers. Rutherford has a large shallow beach, no swimmers, and no concrete wall. From the east of Bellaire to the island it is still frozen and from Bellaire to to Lake ave its open close to a 1/3.

A large portion of the ice is out on the west side of WBL.

I'm new to the sport and I have been flying the Ranger 9. I have a dozen or so hours kiting and I think this has been a great kite for me to learn on.
