It was a great time learning to kite with you, good luck on your move, and keep in touch.

San Juan Vacation?

Planning the family winter vacation has been left up to me this year. I'm trying to find a family friendly place, good beaches, shopping and of course most importantly a place to Kite. Has anybody spent time in San Juan or have any other locations that they would recommend?

Good idea, as a beginner I found launching at Rutherford yesterday was far less stressful than Ramsey, even without swimmers. Rutherford has a large shallow beach, no swimmers, and no concrete wall. Nice find Dave, without it my kiting from Ramsey would have definitely been over for the summer, unle...

Bellaire was definitely a blast yesterday! I even found myself floating in the air a few times on purpose this time. It felt like I was up six feet but it was probably three. Hightower it was nice to meet you and I'm glad everything worked out. Coach we didn’t officially meet but I was flying the pu...

Great Lessons

Thanks Tighe for the top notch lessons! Yesterday at Waconia was the coup-de-gras and this newbie is ready to leave the nest. The fact that you were behind me in the Jet Ski explaining what I was doing right or wrong and me not worrying about immediately having to stay up wind was priceless. I feel ...

Jeff, I have a great beginner DVD for water. I watched it a couple of times before I took my lessons and I think it really helped me. If you want to borrow it before you hook up with Tighe let me know. I would definitely like to hit WBL from Ed's as soon as I get some more board time under my belt. ...

I assume I'm chatting with Jeff? If so how have you been? It's Randy Lindorff (Ed Cox's Buddy) it seems like we are usually getting in to a new sport around the same time. I also just started this winter. I assume you are describing launching around Ed's beach, which would be shallow for at least a ...

I will still take the lesson Dave and no rush on returning the helmet and life jacket, I'm heading out tomorrow morning for a week long cruise in the Caribbean. I wish I had some water skills under my belt so I could get out and give it a shot. It might not be a good thing if the first time my wife ...

I'm new to the sport and I have been flying the Ranger 9. I have a dozen or so hours kiting and I think this has been a great kite for me to learn on.
