While not as breezy as hoped for it still turned on nicely as Cannon always seems to. Great day sharing the lake with ya'll!

Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Breezy, with a south wind 16 to 19 mph increasing to between 25 and 28 mph. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

So Kev - we wuz thinkin' the same thing! Some forecasters are predicting 40+ Gusts in the Southern half of the state for both Sat & Sun.

Based on the MRF it's time to start planning ahead. Hope the forecast holds true. Looks like the potential is there for the Cannon/Pepin(or Byllesby) double.

Well look at that - it's even supposed to blow into the wee hours and the forecast has been upgraded. Making the trip to Cannon today and have the 2.9 in the car "just in case" it does this:

I think straight S is not so good from Lake City although I think Stockholm might be a better bet when the wind is from the South. Pete might know.

Might have to make the late afternoon trip down to Cannon to hear it go BOOM!

What size kites were you guys on today down at WW? I left my 6M in my car and opted to windsurf out of Mahto Beach - got to ride with Steve J. Good times and solid wind today.

Wildwood....or might wsurf out of Mahto Beach if its REALLY windy.

...and forecasts like this are why I always keep my high wind quiver of windsurfing equipment Hope the Wack comes through for us! Bringin both set ups tho.

Hi Dave - I'm very close in size to you. I weigh 140-145. The Glide will be too much board when the wind picks up. It's flat as a pancake and very skatey and slippery. All good traits to get you going quickly but difficult for a light guy to hold an edge with once the wind picks up. I could ride it ...

Can't get to Mille but will be trying with all my might to get to WW for an hour or so in the afternoon! Wildwood's usually better if it's straight NW = better fetch, less gusty.
