Re: Who sailed Sun. or Mon? let's hear about it! Let us have

Sunday at Clear Lake, IA - was fantastically good from the DNR launch. Saw some locals and they were very nice. Jason L was down there from here foiling all day and I was foiling on my windSUPfoil with 4.1M Ezzy Taka2 - gusty but good to be back on the water, and ABOVE it at times. Washington and Bu...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Wow! thanks for replay and great picture and writeup. Stoked! I was considering going to to Clear lake on Sun but might head that way instead. I've got your number and will connect tomorrow. I've also got the 2 foil boards so maybe Judd would like to check out last years board while I struggle with ...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Thanks Randy and Rob! It's so great to stay connected with you guys thru the years. In my absence I thought a lot about you guys and the rest of the windsurf/kite community. It's good to be able to participate and hopfully give a little back. Far less than what was given me but I will make the effor...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Eric, the St. Croix is great for foiling. I'm heading to Stillwater now to see if the wind kicks up enough, but Sunday looks pretty good for now. Hoping to see that new toy in action. Looks pretty sweet!! I've never sailed there, looking forward to it. I'll look for a report but maybe more smart is...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Well hell fire! Here it is - the new Mallet from http://supsports.com with added sail and foil tracks. Added a couple of grab handles too - see if that helps, helped on the Hammer to get in and out of the water with the big foils. Hoping to get down to IA this weekend and give it a test run. Randy J...

Re: Des Moines I love you! Saylorville Lake

Fantastic writeup Randy - I really like that H2 slingshot wing - I was using it on the 30 inch mast last year from the Flight School mast set. Also using an older Starboard Go 150. the weekend you went down I was on call but am ready to head back down to iowa this weekend if there's a bit of wind. I...

Re: Des Moines I love you! Saylorville Lake

Can't wait to get back out! On call this weekend so gotta stay local and grab a snow session with kite. Randy, what size sail were you using and what slingshot setup do you have? I was using the H2 wing last year on the 30in with old Starboard Go 150 was a sweet setup with long switchfuse to get the...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Wardog is almost done with the Mallet! Deckpad and shipping - should have it by wet water time. Also going all-in on a full set of GoFoil wings; Nalu, Kai, Iwa, Maliko 200 and Maliko 280 I'm planing on selling my current setup (seen in picture) SUPSports 9'5" Hammer with Maliko 160 - if anyone ...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Working with Wardog at http://SUPSports.com building a new foiling windsurf/SUP board. Board is based on his Mallet SUP shape. This one is 7'6" x 32" ~140L - decided to try a track instead of the ProBox for the mast - this should allow swapping more foils in and out easier, currently I hav...

Re: March ice reports

Lake Washington last friday - minimal snow but very fun and edge-able. Went back friday and most of the snow retreated 50/50 - almost better with skates, snowboard was tiring. Plenty of ice, then, still driving cars out. Video conditions last Friday 1/2 mile out or so.. http://downhaul.com/kites/201...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

I was interested in working with Matt Wheeler this season to build a foil and fuselage to fit my Slingshot setup. Fun to see small operators getting a chance to shine and compete with the bigger guys at a competitive level. Foiling on the rise too ;) https://www.facebook.com/groups/wheelerwings/ htt...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

Bruce Peterson of Sailworks shows of his new "Flyer" foil specific sail. Not the direction I'm headed to yet (cams) but I definitely understand. The Ezzy's I'm sailing are very loose but you do need enough loading to get the luff pocket to fill out. It will be fun to see where this all goe...

Re: Next revolution: Windsurf Foiling

I'll keep piling on this thread. Got a couple more sails and mast to fill out my "foil quiver" for next year. I hope the Ezzy Taka's work out they are an interesting sail and had the 4.7 and 4.1 out end of season on some really big days on the Go Foil Maliko wow! So here's the new ones. I ...

Re: ICE reports?

Lake Washington in Dassel, MN has some ice. Most of the lake is orange peel but skatable and freeskateable. Make sure to get your DRAG season pass if you park there - Not sure what conditions like at south public Ellsworth launch. End of session when we dared to try out the fresh ice after wind drop...
