yes, I think I definitely need a few more meters yesterday. But it was up when rigging. I kept having to fly the 12m up and down to keep it aloft. Wanted to come back in and rig up to a 15 or 18 but never made it back. I was too stubborn and kept trying to get back up wind. I did make it back to the...

call me D.W.
that stands for Down Wind! I couldn't stay up wind for nothing today. Started at Bellaire and finished closer to Mahtomedia. I had the ultimate "ride" of shame back to my van thanks to a local Joe A. who lives on the lake. Thanks Joe. I had to bail out and swim back to shore from mid lake....

Just flying the 12 M access. I could have went bigger but still a little timid with some incidences on the ice. Wind was probably only 10 to 15 mph at best, no white caps on the lake, yet I was impressed with the power of the kite in that I was getting rides on a 12M kite and the 7.5m windsurfers no...

first successful session
Had a great kiting session at RC beach WBL. First successful session with transition from snow to water. Did have a few walks of shame at first getting stuck in the NW corner but eventually figured it out and was able to ride back to near starting point. Couple of times I thought I'll never windsurf...

Just returned from a 4 hour session at Ramsey Beach. Conditions are great. Solid 9m inflatable, a couple of 6 and 4 foils going. Mike W getting big air on his 10 TD bow. Surface is fine for either skis or board. I was on a board and no problem getting an edge. Ice is going fast-breaking through ice ...

any rideable surfaces?
Looks like a bit of wind this morning. The lakes look too icy to grab an edge. Anyone aware of rideable surfaces? How was the surface at WBL?
thanks Kurt

excellent surface conditions
Desperate ( as always for a ride) so got an 18m up on little lake como in st. paul on my way home from work. I'm quite sure there's never been a traction kite on that lake before. New lines thanks to Mike W. and new board thanks to Steve. B. The surface was great. A few inches of snow over crusted i...

poor conditions - 6 inches of slush
I had a 5.5m up at the crack of dawn - as I was desperate to get a ride before leaving town. I should have known better. The slush was 6 inches thick. My board stuck to the ice like a suction cup. The kite and lines were caked with slush and ice. Terrible conditions at the moment. :( Good luck. Kurt
