Re: Cabrinha Custom Kiteboard: Anyone have any feedback ?
I've been riding my "old" Custom 133 for awhile. Looks like they've added channels and widened the tips but the rocker is still the same. Upside - great in chop, soft landings, very "surfy", and the board does not feel big in the upper wind ranges. Downside - more rocker = less t...

Bellaire or Wildwood. If it's straight N Wildwood will have a cleaner fetch so keep an eye on the wind direction....

Re: Anyone going out today?
Might head down to Wildwood on WBL once the wind goes full on straight N tonight. That direction works perfectly there. Got my stuff packed up....
Not a lot of company lately. Day after ice off on WBL was a solo session. Next day it was me and another guy (forgot name - flys Naish kites).

...and where was everyone? South Padre? Did I miss the lunch hour "crowd"? East wind's a perfect direction for Bellaire. Rode solo on my 12M Cabbie.
Looks like solid Easterlies on tap for tomorrow.

Re: Nearby Wind & Kitesurfing spots
Check out the Lakes section of the site for starters if you have not already: http://www.lakawa.com/lakes/lakes.html Near town Waconia is best of the West. White Bear offers up plenty of launch spots for the East Siders. If your skills are new or rusty Mille can't be beat but it's outside your 50 mi...

Drove by on my way home tonight along the south side. Open from Bellaire to the West but still ice covered from Bellaire East to Mahto. No idea on Ramsey but may check it tonight.

Makes me wonder if he's going to show up at Hookipa with a slalom board and Sailworks Hucker while all the other guys are riding wave gear. Should be interesting.
