Re: Moonlight opener
yes Avery and I rode WBL till sunset when the wind fizziled out (absolutely beautiful skys at sunset by the way). Later that night at home around 630 pm had 20+mph winds at my door step. The clouds cleared and my backyard was lit up nicely by the moon. Seemed like it blew most of the night with I su...

Re: thanksgiving session
Jim, thanks, yep it is a stylus, cheap camera, bomb proof, shoots underwater. Not the best picture but does the job. I'd like to have a nice HD camera some day. I'm just using the basic windows movie maker program that came on my computer. One can spend hours and hours editing-kinda like sanding. Je...

thanksgiving session
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJeFOlJ9P9I I snuck out late morning for a quick backyard session-thought I was sneaking but my wife caught be on film from our living room  . I'm still afraid to pull the trigger "full on" with the landboard-as previously mentioned the falls hurt! Mike...

Wasn't quite over today yet. Mike, Avery and I made it happen at mahtomedi. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j308/drknap/ashoreandboards.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j308/drknap/kurtshore.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j308/drknap/icedboard.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j308...

Re: Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
Nice score Mike! Truly an act of a diehard! Sorry I couldn't join you. We need to have an award circulate for the last water session of the year as well as the first (ice breaker) award. Winner gets to hold the plaque or trophy for the year. Mike I think you might have if for the last session-might.

Kevin. Looks like you scored big time with your SPI trip. Good for you! I'm totally envious. I hope your wife remained content as I remember this was supposed to be an anniversary trip and without your kids. You are definitely an official dark sider-I haven't heard speak of windsurfing in some time.

Re: Monday at Ramsey
Right on Denis! you were successful in you encouragment as I haven't stopped thinking about the blind judge movement in my head since. Avery and I have been gradually getting into unhooked riding and trying to push each other to keep working at (and to not to simply ride off old school ). We need mo...

Re: Monday at Ramsey
Nathan. Sorry about you knee! Where are you these days? I'm only able to complete a raley to blind-and only about 30% of time at that. But I'm working on it and a true blind judge is on the to do list. Unhooked riding is a whole new world of fun. But as you know, one has to be disciplined to progres...

The east side gang made it happen yesterday. Mike, Arthur, Kevin, Chad and myself took no reservations. A bit tricky at first with winds at 20-40 mph making it tough to get up wind on the small stuff (7ms) but you were payed off for your efforts if you made it out into the open lake. I was perfectly...

I couldn't make it to WBL today but I was able to fool around some. Still trying to dial in the landboard. I was hoping one could simply just jump on a board and and ride it like a water or snow kiteboard. Nope! Still fun though.

Dave, thanks for the morning reminiscence. Old posts can be funny to read
"In Japan we bow head to signal everything ok..."
that is so awesome! Catzo where have you been?
I can think of a few more that make me laugh.

Bystanders on the beach were pointing to Kevin and saying "look at the guy plane to the left, plane to the right... He is such a great planer. " Meanwhile they had no interest in Mike Boosting dead mans in 10mph wind.

Kevin
I have seen you frantic at the helm of a kite and the thought of you panicking with a knife in your hands slashing away at kites lines is quite amusing. Thank you for that morning image
