Re: Saylorville DAM JAM May 16-18 2008

Sounds like a dam good time. I told my wife to come along and take some dam pictures, maybe
have a big dam barbeque and do some dam camping.

Well, I'm thinking the sooner we use up all the oil, the sooner we'll be forced to find a saner and more efficient energy source. So thats why I'm trying to do my part by choosing a job flying an airplane that pisses out five hundred gallons an hour of spent fossil fuels into our atmosphere. I dont ...

Forecast said 15-20. Well, I thought, I'll just bring my 9.0 and 7.5 then........................... Spent most of the day taking an ass whoopin' on the 7.5, finally settling in somewhat as it came down later in the day. I think most people were on 5.3 to 6.3. Anyway, I think I'll call that sesh the...

I live near Shady Lake and it is extremely shallow, most of the year there are exposed sandbars in several spots. They just took down a bunch of trees on the west side for the highway 52 expansion but it still is very sheltered, pretty much unusable in general for kiting or windsurfing. Lake City is...

Yep, nice sesh, the warm air was intoxicating, or perhaps that was just the head rush from falling into the life threateningly cold water without a hood. Quite the contrast, great opener.

Well, sorry to dissapoint, but the weather was far too wretched for any serious debauchery. Friday was sunny and warm but things took a turn for the worse on Sat. with cool temps and rain, kinda felt bad for the bands, it really put a damper on the music scene. The wind was decent though with 15-30i...

I say two. Not to create a division, its just that some windsurfers aren't interested in kiting issues and vice versa - theres nothing wrong with that. Sure, there are plenty of people that do both, but it seems to me that people who do one or the other exclusively are in the majority. I you do both...

Windsurfer rescued on Pepin?

So the Wabasha news reports a person "windsurfing on the ice" on Lake Pepin Saturday went through and had to be rescued, the name of the party in question was not released. Sounds like he had two accomplices with him. Anybody wanna fess up?
